  • CSB is participating in the STARS program, sponsored by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education

  • Chris Brake joined the CSB community in November 2007 as the College's grounds supervisor.

  • The Board of Trustees approved the campus master plan in spring 2007.

  • The Gorecki Dining and Conference Center is the newest addition to the College of Saint Benedict campus.  It opened just before the start of the '07-'08 school year and is the new home of the events and conferences and culinary services departments.

  • The new addition to the Benedicta Arts Center continues to garner attention and praise.  The facility was featured in Architect Magazine, and The Chronicle of Higher Education, and was recognized for excellence by The American Institute of Architects Minnesota, the Society of College and University Planners, and International Interior Design Association.

  • In conjunction with campus sustainability efforts, CSB President Maryann Baenninger signed the President's Climate Commitment.

  • The Board of Trustees recently approved the proposed Collegeville Communities, an "academic village" on the CSB campus.  "Academic villages" are communities that offer active, engaging living options for seniors and pre-retirees.  Collegeville Communities will function in conjunction with Collegeville Development, LLC.

  • The CSB fitness center underwent renovation during Summer 2007.  Construction began in October on the new aerobics studio, which will occupy the space of the former HCC conference rooms.  The updates are expected to conclude in time for the spring semester.

  • Facilities maintence is currently overseeing completion of the courtyard formed by the new BAC addition
