Programs

CSB Campus Ministry offers a wide variety of programs from our different departments. Our departments include Liturgy, Service and Social Justice (SSJ), Alternative Break Experiences (ABE), and Faith Communities (FAC).

Liturgy

Our love for God is lived out in love for our neighbor. Our love for God is expressed through our community, worship, hospitality, outreach, and stewardship. Our relationships are nourished and sustained by grace and sacramental living. Liturgical ministers prepare campus liturgies and involve students, faculty, and staff in various ministries from music and dance to proclaiming the word and distributing the Eucharist. Student Campus Ministers are an integral part of Campus Ministry.

Service and Social Justice (SSJ)

Rooted in the Gospel and Catholic Social Tradition the Spirituality-Service-Justice (SSJ), branch of Campus Ministry works to address critical issues of injustice, war and peace, poverty, homelessness, and discrimination in the world. In addition to acting as a liaison between the social justice groups on campus and campus ministry, CSB SSJ coordinates educational programming and development of spirituality through prayer, reflection, and retreats.

Alternative Break Experiences (ABE)

Campus Ministry at the College of Saint Benedict provides students with various alternative break opportunities during the winter, spring, and summer breaks. The alternative break trips are a part of campus ministry's area of SSJ, sharing in that mission by seeking to help students learn to live in solidarity with peoples throughout the world who may be socially, economically and/or politically marginalized, 'the poorest of the poor.'

Faith Communities (FAC)

The Faith Communities Ministry of CSB believes that people of all faiths and backgrounds are created in love, to give and receive love.  By joining peoples of all faiths in community, we seek to bring greater understanding and peace to our campuses and the world.  Through respectful dialogue, faith sharing, prayer and fellowship, we explore the strengths of our common values and the richness of our differences so that we may better understand ourselves and others.
