2,000 Reasons to Say Thanks

Carliene. Maria. Tara. Elizabeth. Ashley. Raquel. These are only a few of the students who will benefit from your vision, your values, and your commitment to women’s education.

Alums and friends rallied for current and future Saint Ben’s students during this fiscal year of the largest capital campaign in the college’s history. Many milestones were reached, including:

  • Largest amount raised in Annual Fund: $1.938 million
  • Highest number of total donors (including alumnae and other friends): 8,386
  • Largest amount raised through annual giving, endowment and qualified planned gifts: $16.637 million.

Campaign Highlights:

The class of 1957 challenged the class of 2007 with a dollar-for-dollar match to the Annual Fund.

Ardeth Harth Duthoy ’52 and Helen Miller ’77 were two of many inspiring alumnae who established scholarship endowments.

Benedict and Dorothy Gorecki invested another 1.5 million for building projects.

Rita Lukes ’59 left an estate gift for scholarships programs and leadership development in her will. More than 25 other planned gifts were also established.

And, Saint Ben’s has already earned more than 50% of the $1 million Bush Foundation Matching Grant thanks to the generosity and belief of alums and friends of the college.

Every dollar is making an impact, and as a result, the College of Saint Benedict almost 90% of the way towards achieving its capital campaign goal of $80 million.

Our Place in the World: a Campaign to Inspire and Transform seeks ongoing Annual Fund support for scholarships and operating expenses, endowment for ongoing scholarships and academic programming, building projects, and planned gifts.

We couldn’t fulfill our mission without you. Thanks so much for all of your support.
