Saint Ben's Nears Campaign Goal

The College of Saint Benedict seeks to raise $30 million for scholarships and need-based financial aid during its historical capital campaign.

More than $19.7 million has been raised for these purposes at this time.

Be in the dream business

Dreams. That’s what our young women are made of, and their dreams are big.

To be a doctor. To reverse the trend of teen suicide on reservations by teaching music. To be president. To provide a better future for one’s family after surviving years of domestic abuse.

These are only a few of the real dreams held by today’s College of Saint Benedict students. Providing financial aid and ensuring access to a nationally-recognized liberal arts education is at the heart of helping them reach their dreams and more.

Institutionally-awarded scholarships and grants are the single largest source of assistance for our students. And, more than 92 percent of all Saint Ben’s students receive a scholarship or grant each year to help pay for college, in addition to any loans and work study they are eligible to receive.

In 2007, the college received several gifts for scholarship support:

  • a $1 million matching capital grant from the Bush Foundation will be worth $2 million when fully matched
  • a $1 million dollar gift for civic fellowships, renewable up to 5 years
  • a planned gift of real estate from a retired professor for women in science

Please consider how you might be a part of helping Bennies become one step closer to reaching their dreams through:
1) Outright gifts to the scholarship endowment
2) A pledge payable over 5 years
3) Planned gifts
