Anna Rehmann Riegle ’80 Recognized by Cambridge Who’s Who

Anna R. Riegle, Director of Workforce Development for Nursing at Martinsburg VA Medical Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in process improvement, patient safety, quality management, and documentation of policies and procedures.

As the Director, Anna R. Riegle is responsible for supervising and leading a rigorous review process, documenting quality initiatives that create a positive work environment, assisting in developing a work environment that encourages and supports nursing staff members, assisting the nurse recruiter in gathering information on nurses' work time, tracking nurse care hours, and gathering data for the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators for Acute Care. She started in this position after retiring as a nurse in the United States Navy in 2006 after 23 years of active service, and she attributes her success to being a lifelong learner wanting to always improve her skills and to the United States Navy for preparing her to become a leader in the military as well as the private sector.

Ms. Riegle received her Master of Science in Health Services Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1991, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, from the College of Saint Benedict, St. Joseph, Minnesota, in 1980. She is a member of the National Association for Healthcare Quality and Sigma Theta Tau International.
