Kathryn Kucienski Ciesla ’93 ELECTED NORTHBROOK VILLAGE TRUSTEE

Kathryn Kucienski Ciesla began serving as Village Trustee of Northbrook in May.  She was elected to a four year term on April 7, 2009.  The Village has a Council-Manager form of government.  The Board (or Council) is made up of the Village President and six trustees, all of whom are elected for four year terms on an at-large basis. 

Ciesla, born in Park Ridge, Illinois grew up on the Northwest Side of Chicago.  She is an alumna of Regina Dominican High School in Wilmette, Illinois (1989).  After high school, she attended the College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota, where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree (1993).

Ciesla completed her Juris Doctorate (1996) at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois.  She was subsequently admitted to practice in the State of Illinois, the U. S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the United States Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court.

Ciesla is a partner of the firm of Ciesla & Ciesla, P.C., located in Northbrook.  She concentrates her practice in the areas of business law, litigation, estate planning and administration, and liquor licensing.
