Saint Ben’s and Saint John’s will be home to a new chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. No . . . this doesn’t equate to an onslaught of sorority and fraternity houses. Phi Beta Kappa is the nation’s oldest academic honor society, founded in 1776.
Only about 10 percent of the nation’s institutions of higher learning have Phi Beta Kappa chapters. CSB/SJU expect to induct the first student members spring semester 2010. These students will be among more than 500,000 members of Phi Beta Kappa, including 17 U.S. presidents, seven current U.S. Supreme Court Justices, more than 130 Nobel Prize laureates, Indianapolis Colts’ quarterback Peyton Manning and others. We couldn't do it without you
More than 6,887 individuals supported Saint Ben’s mission this last fiscal year. Student scholarships for the more than 92% of Bennies who receive assistance topped the gift list. We understand these have been challenging times. That’s why we are incredibly grateful to all of you who were able to keep Saint Ben’s as one of your charitable priorities. The 2009 Honor Roll is available for your review and to see highlights from the past fiscal year. Thanks for your continued support. |

CSB Alumnae Chapters
Alumnae chapters foster opportunities for alumnae to participate in one another’s lives, in the lives of perspective and current students, and in the life of the College. Chapter involvement helps bring alumnae together to share experiences, promote connections, and encourage Saint Ben’s visibility in area communities.

Kristin Kopp '92 Alumnae Profile
Saint Ben’s was instrumental in encouraging me to seek work that has purpose. The Benedictine philosophy of listening deeply to others, understanding what they need, and figuring out how to be of service to them has set the precedent of how we operate today. Most of us have worked in big corporations and understand how easily it is to get “lost”, detached and question our purpose in being there. Read more about Kristin.
