Do you know a Saint Ben’s alumna who has made outstanding achievements in her career? Or an alumna from the class of 1999 who has done amazing things in her short ten years since graduation? Or someone who has given significant time and commitment to her community or to Saint Ben’s?
Each year the Alumnae Association, through its representatives on the Alumnae Council, presents three alumnae awards during the Saint Ben’s Summer Reunion in June. The purpose of theses awards is to recognize alumnae who continue to live the Benedictine tradition through their personal life, community involvement or professional achievement. Candidates for the 2009 awards must come from these classes: ’49, ’54, ’59, ’64, ’69, ’74, ’79, ’84, ’89, ’94, ’99, and ’2004. We are now accepting nominations for the following Reunion 2009 awards:

Distinguished Alumna Award
• This award honors an alumna for outstanding achievements in her chosen profession.
• This alumna’s daily life reflects the Christian ideals and mission of the College.
• This alumna has distinguished herself in her chosen field or in another area or endeavor.
• This alumna has made a lasting contribution in her field and is a role model or leader for all alumnae.
• This alumna’s personal or professional activities reflect honor to the College.
Decade Award
• This award honors a 1999 alumna for outstanding achievements in her chosen profession.
• This alumna’s daily life reflects the Christian ideals and mission of the College.
• This alumna represents global consciousness and community involvement.
• This alumna is a great role model and leader for younger alumnae, and is recognized by her peers.
• This alumna’s personal or professional activities reflect honor to the College.
Benedictine Service Award
• This award honors an alumna for her continued commitment and contributions to community service
and social justice, whether at a national, international or regional level.
• This alumna’s daily life reflects the Christian ideals and mission of the College.
• This alumna has made a significant impact on those around her.
• This alumna demonstrates a commitment to the Benedictine spirit of giving, hospitality, love of others, listening and social stewardship.
