Hannah Salto

Year: Junior

Hometown: Sauk Centre, MN

Major/Minor: English and Communication

How many years on Senate: Current semester only

Senate position: Women's Issues Representative

Explanation of position: My position is focused on addressing issues that affect women in general and Bennies specifically. The Women's Issues Representative aims to create an environment in which Bennies feel that they can flourish as women. My position is meant to empower women to achieve anything they desire. You can approach me with any issues, but if you specifically want to address an issue you feel pertains to gender/sex, please feel free to reach out to me at anytime!

Why you joined Senate: I joined Senate because I know an array of people on campus and want to provide them with the best that their college education can offer them. I specifically chose the Women's Issues Representative position because I am very passionate about Feminism and women's empowerment.

Other activities/involvement on campus: I am an RA in the First Year Area, a member of Delta Epsilon Sigma, a member of the Literary Arts Society, and a back stage assistant for theatre productions.

Favorite class and why: My favorite class this semester is Ethics because I enjoy being challenged in my education and I love to learn about new, engaging, and important topics.

Favorite study spot: My favorite study spot is in the courtyard of the BAC when the weather is nice or the Gallery Lounge in the BAC.
