Defensive Driving Program

The CSB/SJU on-line training defensive driving program is designed to refresh and test your defensive driving skills.  CSB/SJU's insurance carriers require all faculty, staff and students who use college/university-owned vehicles to be informed of transportation rules and policies regarding their safe operation.

The Defensive Driving program consists of two parts:

PART I. A review of CSB/SJU Transportation policies and submission of pertinent driver information required to conduct a driving background check.

CSB/SJU FULL-TIME/PART-TIME EMPLOYEES:  When you have completed PART I, please log in to the CSB/SJU On-Line Health and Safety Training web page using your CSB/SJU username and password. You will need to complete the " Distracted Driving" and "Driver Safety" portions of the training.

CSB/SJU STUDENTS (including student employees):  Information that you provided  in PART I will be used to register you in the CSB/SJU On-Line Health and Safety Training program.  You will be notified when the registration process has been completed.  After you receive notification, please log in to the CSB/SJU On-Line Health and Safety Training web page to complete PART II of the Defensive Driving program.  You will need to complete the " Distracted Driving" and "Driver Safety" portions of the training.

PART II.  The successful completion of the CSB/SJU Defensive Driving on-line training course.

When ready, select the above links to complete each portion of the process.  Each section of the on-line course (Part II) must be successfully completed to pass.  You have the option to print a Certificate upon  completion of  Part II, if desired.   You will also receive an e-mail when both parts of the Defensive Driving Program have been successfully completed, and a driving background check has been conducted.

Once successfully completed, your Defensive Driving Certification is valid for five (5) years.

Good luck and safe driving!
