Defensive Driving Program

The CSB/SJU on-line training defensive driving program is designed to refresh and test your defensive driving skills.  CSB/SJU's insurance carriers require all faculty, staff and students who use college/university-owned vehicles to be informed of transportation rules and policies regarding their safe operation.

The Defensive Driving program consists of two parts:

PART I. A review of CSB/SJU Transportation policies and submission of pertinent driver information required to conduct a driving background check.

CSB/SJU FULL-TIME/PART-TIME EMPLOYEES:  When you have completed PART I, please log in to the CSB/SJU On-Line Health and Safety Training web page.  Use your complete school email address for both your username and password to complete PART II of the Defensive Driving program.  You will need to complete the " Distracted Driving" and "Driver Safety" portions of the training.  You should change your password when you initially log in. 

CSB/SJU STUDENTS (including student employees):  Information that you provided  in PART I will be used to register you in the CSB/SJU On-Line Health and Safety Training program.  You will be notified when the registration process has been completed.  After you receive notification, please log in to the CSB/SJU On-Line Health and Safety Training web page.  Use your complete school email address for your login, and your Banner number for your password to complete PART II of the Defensive Driving program.  You will need to complete the " Distracted Driving" and "Driver Safety" portions of the training.  You should change your password when you initially log in. 

PART II.  The successful completion of the CSB/SJU Defensive Driving on-line training corurse.

When ready, select the above links to complete each portion of the process.  Each section of the on-line course (Part II) must be successfuly completed to pass.  You have the option to print a Certificate upon  completion of  Part II, if desired.   You will also receive an e-mail when both parts of the Defensive Driving Program have been successfully completed, and a driving background check has been conducted.

Once successfully completed, your Defensive Driving Certification is valid for five (5) years.
