Education, Advocacy, Action
Through educating ourselves and the wider campus community on justice issues, we can raise awareness and widen the support base for combating injustice. We strive to be leaders on campus in advocacy and awareness work and to serve as a resource for people wanting to learn how to integrate social justice work into their faith. In addition to others, we hold these events annually:
- Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (2015-2016)
- Sex Trafficking Awareness Week (Book Discussion & 2013-2014)
- Catholic Social Teaching Week (CST Principles & 2013-2014)
- Fair Trade Advocacy
We also offer many opportunities for our campus to act through our Justice Walking program and our Urban Plunges. Justice Walking is a group that commits to a service sites and visits that site every other weekend. Urban Plunges are 1 to 2 day service opportunities that we offer at least once per month.
