CSB|SJU programming teams

In the traditional contest format, a team consists of three students. Teams are given a set of programming problems and short period of time (5 hours) to solve as many as they can - sharing one computer.

The CSB-SJU teams meet regularly during the semester to hone their problem-solving and programming skills while working with other interested students. Current students interested in participating should contact Prof Imad Rahal.

Fall 2007, ACM North Central Regional Programming Contest

Fall 2003, ACM North Central Regional Programming Contest

Jason Cross, Joe Outzen, and Chris Stocker placed 17th (5th among Minnesota teams). Nathaniel Dalbec, Michael Phenow, and Jonathan Schoen placed 32nd (9th among Minnesota teams). The contest include 182 teams, including 21 from Minnesota teams.  8 Nov 2003

Spring 2003, MICS Programming Contest

Mike Boldt, Mike Phenow, and Chris Stocker placed 3rd (1st among Minnesota teams). Nathaniel Dalbec and Chris Marsh placed 5th (3rd among Minnesota teams). The contest included 30 teams from five states, including 17 from Minnesota. Carl Burch coached both teams, with the help of Lynn Ziegler.

Fall 2002, ACM North Central Regional Programming Contest

Nathaniel Dalbec, Chris Marsh, and Chris Stocker placed 32nd (6th among Minnesota teams). Mike Boldt, Tim Durnan, and Mike Phenow placed 46th (11th among Minnesota teams). The contest included 153 teams from seven states and two provinces, including 22 from Minnesota. Carl Burch coached both teams.
