Fall '11 Health Advocates:

 Katie

Katie de St. Aubin:My name is Katie de St. Aubin and I am a sophomore Elementary Education and Hispanic Studies double major from Stillwater, MN. My favorite part about being an HA is having the ability to make a difference on campus. I love possessing knowledge that can help others and make them more aware of the decisions they are making every day. My favorite thing to do in my free time is to play sports, I love all sports and any chance that I get to play I take advantage of. At CSB, I am one of the captains of the crew team and I play pickup games of ultimate frisbee, volleyball and anything else that becomes available. My dream job would be to be a game show host. I love watching game shows and I have always wanted to host.

Hi! My name is Sheila Lungay and I'm a junior nursing major, psychology minor. I grew up in Chaska, MN but I'm originally from the Philippines. I'm new to the Health Advocates this year, but I'm really excited for programming to fit the health and wellness needs of CSB and to work with an awesome group of women! I really like baking, goofing around with my friends and family, and scrapbooking... I have an obsession with pretty paper. If nursing don't work out, I can always stick with my current summer job as an activities coordinator for a daycare. Or find any other job that involves kids!

My name is Kendall Harstad, and I am currently a Sophomore at the College of Saint Benedict. I am a Management major, and I am originally from Eden Prairie, Minnesota. The part that I love most about being a Health Advocate is being able to help my friends and other Bennies around me in a way that positively affects their overall health. I love to read, run, and hang out with my friends in my free time. If I could be anything I wanted to be when I "grow up," I would love to be the editor in chief at Vogue.

My name is Megan Solheid and I am a Senior Biology and Psychology major here at CSB.  My hometown is Rosemount, MN.  My favorite part of being a Health Advocate is getting to do what I am passionate about and promote health and well being on campus in new and creative ways.  I am grateful to work with amazing people who make our job extremely fun! Also, I love doing research on the latest health information relevant to college students and communicating it to my peers, all while learning new things along the way and developing my leadership, organizational, and presentation skills.  The highlight of my job is noticing a difference in the positive attitudes, lifestyles, and well being of the students I get to interact with.  In my free time I love to bake, do ceramics, TRAVEL J, and spend quality time (preferably outdoors and on the lake) with my family and friends. My dream job would be one where I get to travel back to Greece (where I studied abroad) and be a photographer or restaurant connoisseur!

Kelcey Kryzer- My name is Kelcey Kryzer and I am from Cottage Grove, MN. I am a junior Biology major and Psychology minor. My favorite part of being a Health Advocate is possessing the knowledge about health issues on campus and being able to spread that information with my peers! Some of our knowledge applies to situations that you would never expect! My favorite thing to do in my free time is spend time outdoors enjoying the weather (hot or cold) and being active. My dream job is to one day become a dolphin trainer.

My name is Hayley Enfield and I am a sophomore dietetics major from Eden Prairie, MN.  My favorite part about being a Health Advocate is having the opportunity to learn and share fun and interesting ways to be healthful with my peers.  In my free time, I love to hang out at the lake and wake surf.  I also like to hang out with friends and attend sporting events.  My dream job is to own a chain of exercise facilities emphasizing yoga and to have my own health foods store.

Jenny Stocker- My name is Jenny Stocker, and I am a Junior Nursing major here at St. Ben's. I am from New Prague, MN. My favorite part of being a Health Advocate is taking my skills, education, and love for health and putting them into action. I am grateful for the chances that I have to educate the women of St. Ben's, and I hope that each student leaves with a deeper knowledge of every aspect of women's health by the time they graduate. I love being able to socialize with my fellow Bennies, all the while informing them of the latest ways to maintain their health and keep positive attitudes towards the lifestyles they lead (or are striving to lead). My favorite things to do in my free time are dance, hang out with my family and friends, and do whatever floats my boat for that day (i.e. rollerblading, reading, fishing, getting coffee, etc). If I could do any job in the world, I would want to become a "bat girl" for the Minnesota Twins. I don't know if girls have ever been allowed to do that, but I want to be one. Or, if they won't let me be a "bat girl," I would want to become a personal aid or physical therapist for the Twins players. Is there a "School Nurse" type position for them as well? If there is, let me know!!

Kelsey Swenson- My name is Kelsey Swenson and I am from Mahtomedi, Mn.  I am a Junior Nursing Major here at CSB. I am currently on the Health Trolley Committee.  I love being in a leadership role on campus and learning new things every day.  My favorite thing about being an Health Advocate is being able to work with others who have a passion for healthy lifestyles. While not working, I enjoy kickboxing, hanging out with friends, going to concerts, and being outside.  If nursing doesn't work out ;), I have two dream jobs: one is to be a party planner for the stars, the other is to be a ski instructor at Breckenridge, CO.  My favorite quote that I try to live by is, "Wherever you go, go with all your heart." - Confucius

Kyra Knoff: My name is Kyra Knoff, and I am a Junior Nursing major and Spanish minor from Cottage Grove, MN. My favorite part of being an HA is being part of a positive, well-known, healthy, and fun team on campus. I'm pumped for the year! In my free time I love to travel- I wish I had the money necessary for the list of places I want to see. My dream job would be being a nurse in a foreign country-bonus if the climate is warm and Spanish in spoken.

Andrea Dylla: Hello everyone! I'm Andrea Dylla and I am a Sophomore Accounting Major. I grew up not very far from here at all in the country near the small town of Avon, MN. Becoming a Health Advocate has been a great opportunity. I didn't think in my first year in college I'd be able to get a job doing something I'm so passionate about! It's very rewarding to be able to help instill healthy practices throughout the campus of St. Bens and even become a more informed and healthy person myself. Overall, it's a great team to be on-there are lots of leadership opportunities, the satisfaction of bettering our CSB campus, and a fun team to be a part of. In my spare time I always like to keep busy! From getting a group together to play sports such as softball, football, volleyball, or pond hockey, to just chilling out around a bonfire with some of my closest friends, snowmobiling, or four wheeling. Anything outdoors is my past time, along with artsy/crafty things.  My dream job would be taking my Accounting education to help me become the owner of some crazy combination of businesses...such as: a photography studio, a clothing line of my own, and a restaurant with some unique kind of cuisine!

Hi! My name is Martha Boyle and I'm from Lino Lakes, MN (but went to school at Cretin-Derham Hall in St. Paul.) I'm currently a first year majoring in Nursing, which is why I'm so excited to have this opportunity to join the CSB Health Advocates! I've always been interested in various health related topics and am totally pumped to start learning more and passing on knowledge to fellow Bennies and Johnnies! In the rare event of free time I enjoy cooking/baking, listening to music and watching funny Youtube videos and/or Stumbling, hanging out with friends, exercising, singing, shopping, and fishing if I'm near a lake with a boat. J My dream job would definitely be a Bridal Consultant at Kleinfeld in Manhattan!!

My name is Juliet Farmer and I'm a First Year English and Theater major at CSB this year! I'm from St. Paul, MN, and in my free time I love to take pictures, act in theatre productions, and hang out with my friends. My dream job is to act in movies while taking pictures on the side! My favorite thing about being a health advocate so far is getting to tell my friends all the little tips I learn about being healthier, and knowing that that will spread to the rest of campus with the more work I do!
