HIGH PERFORMANCE LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY

Most "real world" samples are not pure compounds dissolved in solvent, but instead are a complex mixture of many analytes in a mixture. High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is a method used to separate these mixtures into individual analytes and then quantitate the result. We have several different HPLC's that are used in our program, starting with a Varian 5000 HPLC isocratic system used in organic chemistry as well as the HP 1050 and Surveyor LC shown above.
