The Entrepreneurial Studies Program at the College of St. Benedict and St. John’s University provides students from all disciplines with the opportunity to design and implement a world-class venture, whether it is a business or a nongovernmental organization. Students called E-Scholars, learn the skills and information necessity to translate their creative entrepreneurial ideas into reality.
Consistent with the mission of The College of St. Benedict and St John’s University, our entrepreneurial studies program especially encourages student projects which seek to promote the common good and make meaningful contributions to the global community. The Entreprneurial Studies Program provides opportunities for students from all disciplines to become leaders in creating enterprises that contribute to a more humane, just, and sustainable world. The Entrepreneurial Studies Program recognizes that the traditional boundaries of academic disciplines can create barriers to learning. Our program seeks to integrate the entrepreneurial skills and knowledge traditionally taught within business-related disciplines with the more humanistic commitment to community service traditionally found among liberal arts majors. This integrative approach appropriately reflects the Benedictine values of “work and prayer” by recognizing the ethical dimension of creative work and enterprise.
