Hibes Galeano Rivas

Hibes Galeano will be a junior this coming fall at the College of Saint Benedict majoring in Management. She was born and raised in El Salvador, a small country in Central America, where she attended Colegio Salvadoreño Ingles. Spanish is her native language, but she is also fluent in English. She loves traveling, while she was still back home, her family organized trips all the time, she has been to Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Mexico, Belize and the United States. Technology is one of her fascinations; she loves to see what is new and how technology is changing life as we know it. Hibes wanted to attend an American college, which she was able to do with the help and support of her loving parents; therefore she came to the United States during the fall of 2006; she spent her first year at a college in South Carolina, After one year there, she transferred to the College of Saint Benedict/Saint John’s University (Minnesota) for her sophomore year in the fall of 2007, where her twin brother Fernando attends college. Hibes is looking forward to achieve great things with the entrepreneurial knowledge she will learn by being a member of the 5^th cohort group of the E-Scholars program.
