This year we have added a new award for the volunteers here at the Donald McNeely Center for Entrepreneurship.  The students voted which volunteer that they thought were the most helpful.

Mike Riley - Volunter Center Mentor

Mike Riley was selected as the most helpful to the most students.  Mike is co-owner of Mike Riley & Associates and provides development consultation to banks.  After graduating from St. John's in 1971, Mike worked at various banks in the region most recently as CEO of St. Stephen Sate Bank.

Mike has been a volunteer Center Mentor since the program began in the fall of 2004.  He has provided coaching, feed back, and suggestions to the students all year long.  When they needed advice on how to approach a bank, Mike was there.  When they needed someone to help them think through how the team would work, Mike was there.  And the Center staff are delighted that Mike was selected as our first award winner because he too has been an advisor and resource for us as we continue to pursue new opportunities.

We must admit that this was a close vote.   Two other volunteers got nearly as many votes, another way that our students are showing how much the value our volunteers.
