Summer Global Internship Program
College graduates need an international perspective to be competitive in today's job market. Many will have to negotiate foreign cultures whether they work in the United States or abroad. As part of this continuing change, international college internships should now be viewed as steppingstones to career success.
The Summer Global Internship Program (SGIP) provides independent international experiential learning programs featuring internships in business and non-profit organizations, scientific research projects, educational institutions and more. Most feature local coordinators who work with the Center for Global Education to facilitate each program and serve an on-site resources for students. Currently the program features internships in the countries of Bosnia-Herzegovina, China, and Vietnam.
The Summer Global Internship Program is open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. A limited number of fellowships, ranging from $500-3000, are awarded on a competitive basis for the program.
