David Forster Campus Challenge
David Forster ’11 was an entrepreneur, a runner, a mentor and an inspirational force. For many, his guidance and encouragement was the spark needed to start a new challenge. Created to honor David’s memory and example, the Spark to Start is a team-based race throughout Saint John’s University, infused with a series of challenges – both physical and intellectual.
Along the course, participants will be called upon to leverage the entrepreneurial spirit we embrace at the McNeely Center – a mindset of exploring curiously, figuring it out and solving problems. In the end, we hope the race will become the spark for competitors to start something new in their own lives.
Register with a friend to create a two-person team. Teams will start the race from David’s bench on the shore of Lake Sagatagan. From there, participants will be provided clues leading them to various spots on campus. Each spot will offer a new challenge to solve as a team. With each challenge completed, a clue to find the next destination will be provided, finally leading competitors to the secret finish line. We’ll finish with a social, complete with an awards ceremony, as we celebrate David and the entrepreneurial spirit that lives within each of us.
