Requirements for Admission
- Graduation from an accredited high school or the equivalent. Although
the colleges do not insist on a rigidly structured secondary school
program, a candidate's academic preparation should include four years of
English, three years of mathematics through Algebra II, two years of
social science, two years of laboratory science and six other college
preparatory electives. The study of a foreign language is recommended but
not required for admission.
- Scholastic achievement, rank in class and personal qualifications that
give promise of success in college.
- Satisfactory scores on the American College Test (ACT) of the American
College Testing Program or the SAT I: Reasoning Test (SAT I) of the
College Entrance Examination Board. It is recommended that candidates take
the ACT or SAT I in the spring of their junior year.
