Superior StudiesThis summer field study program offers college environmental study focusing on Northern Minnesota. Superior Studies is sponsored by a consortium of seven Minnesota colleges and the Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center. It combines college courses, field study and outdoor experiences in a spectacular setting. Students from any college or university can earn academic credit, participate in environmentally related part-time jobs, and enjoy wilderness adventure and a community of friends. In either of two summer sessions, participants enjoy a one-week wilderness trip, classes during the week and short trips on the week-end; they live in the Wolf Ridge dormitory, take meals in the cafeteria and enjoy easy access to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, Quetico, Superior Hiking Trail, Minnesota State Parks, Lake Superior, Superior National Forest, and the Canadian north shore.
