Austria

The primary objectives of the Salzburg program lie in acquiring language skills and a deeper understanding of Austrian culture. All participants register at the University of Salzburg to allow them access to courses and the use of student facilities. Advanced German language students may take advantage of regular course offerings at the university. Language instruction is an integral part of the program. One year of college German or equivalent proficiency is required. Some literature and history courses are taught in English at the university. In addition, specially designed art history, political science and philosophy courses are taught in English.
