Goals include “Students will understand the major elements of the Biblical story” and “Majors will provide leadership and service to the church and society”. Strategies include: a diagnostic instrument to evaluate the effectiveness of THEO 180; collecting and assessing random samples of students’ papers and course exams and syllabi. After data is collected, the department meets to assess the need to make changes.
