Liberal Studies
Interdisciplinary Program Advisor: Jackie Hampton
Liberal Studies offers students an
individualized major that integrates a self-designed program of study
in the liberal arts with a capstone experiential learning requirement.
The major is designed for students who prefer a broad-based program of
study within the liberal arts in contrast to a major in a single
department or division. Building on the core curriculum, the
structured requirements of the major ask students to develop a program
that will assist them to grow in self-knowledge, liberal arts skills
and interdisciplinary understanding. The liberal studies advisor works
closely with students as they develop their own personal program of
study.
