If you are only able to receive channels 2-13 on your TV, it usually means that your TV is not in the "CABLE" mode. The process of switching a TV from "OFF-AIR" to the "CABLE" mode is usually a menu item, or on older TV sets there may be a manual switch on the front panel or on the back by the cable connection. If your TV is very old it may not even be "Cable Ready". In that case you will not be able to watch cable channels above channel 13 unless you use a cable converter box which can be purchased at most electronics stores. You can also use your VCR in place of a cable converter box by tuning your TV to channel 3 or 4, then use the channel selector on your VCR to receive the cable stations.
If none of these suggestions correct your cable TV reception problems, call Dan Sis at ex.3213, or e-mail Dan at dsis@csbsju.edu.
