Education: B.A. from St. Olaf College; Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in Molecular Veternary Biosciences with a concentration in Microbiology.

Research interests: Microbial genomics, pathogenesis of infection, and environmental impacts on infection.

Courses taught: Microbiology (upper and lower division), Immunology, Introduction to Cell and Molecular Biology.

Recommended advisor for: students interested in veterinary medicine, physician assistant, microbiology, immunology, or molecular biology.
