Lectio in the Library

Lectio Divina is a form of prayerful reading and contemplation that is central to Benedictine life. Every Thursday from 12:30-1:00 in Alcuin Library, study room 119, Br. Paul Vincent will lead attendees through this ancient practice of slow, contemplative reading of the Scriptures. Starting Thursday, March 8, Lectio Divina will also be held at Clemens Library, study room A124 from 12:30-1:00, led by Sr. Hélène Mercier.

This is not Bible study, but a form of personal, prayerful reflection. Please come as often as you would like, even if just once to try it out. If this is brand new to you, the first Thursday of each month will begin with a short 10-minute instruction of the process before beginning the practice.
