At the College of St. Benedict/St. John’s University, the Asian Studies Program provides many opportunities for students to learn from and interact with Asia. In addition, many other institutions on campus help our students gain a multifaceted appreciation of Asia. There are the student clubs, including Asia club and Aikido club. Artist-in-Residence Richard Bresnahan provides an amazing resource for students to learn about Asian pottery. Also, CSBSJU has wonderful programs abroad in China and Japan. Scholarships are also available for study abroad and language study.
After students graduate, there are many career and volunteer opportunities in Asia. Here at CSBSJU, we have many programs designed to place recent graduates in schools all over Asia to teach English. To find out more, click here.
CSBSJU publishes an Asian Studies newsletter twice a year. To view the archives online, click here.
There are many Asia related links on this website, which we encourage students to take advantage of. Look on the right side of this page for links to Asian newspapers, online networks, and much more.
