Land Plans, Projects, and Records

Land Stewardship Projects
Practicing sustainable land use is an important aspect of our mission at Saint John’s Arboretum. Maple syruping, prescribed burns, and native plant restoration are a few examples of our ongoing projects.

Forest Stewardship Council Certification
Saint John’s Arboretum is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council as a green forestry operation. This means that Saint John’s harvests timber on a rotating basis in order to promote forest diversity and the natural beauty of the land.

Historical Records
Members of the Saint John's Abbey, CSB/SJU professors, and natural resource professionals have documented the unique biological communities present at Saint John's through research and writing.
