Description:
The volunteer will assist a trained Arboretum naturalist in a 3 hour environmental education program with 30 elementary school students or less. The program consists of a walk around the Prairie Loop with periodic stops for games, worksheets, and wetland dipping with nets. The volunteer would provide and extra eye and hand in activities and keeping the children together and focused.

Background Information:
Around 4,000 students K-12 students visit the wetlands, prairie, and woods of Saint John’s Arboretum every year. We hope that the volunteer will gain a sense of wonder and respect for the natural world and inspiration to share it with others.
