Young Alum Committee
The mission of the Young Alum Committee of College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University is to foster and strengthen the life-long relationship between the young alums (defined as 10 years or less out of college) and their alma maters; to connect with, energize and promote young Bennies and Johnnies and to support the mission of Saint Ben's and Saint John's as the nationally-leading residential liberal arts experience enlivened by Catholic and Benedictine tradition and values.
The YAC volunteers believe that "the walls of our unique community don't stop in St. Joseph or Collegeville. We strive to help young Bennie and Johnnie alums strengthen their existing friendships and build new ones. We seek to enrich their lives socially and professionally by hosting fun events that help alums and help others."

The Young Alum Committee is overseen by a CSB and SJU staff member from the offices of institutional advancement who together with a CSB and SJU alum co-chair work with four CSB and four SJU alum volunteers who provide programming opportunities for young alums in the following pillar areas:

- Volunteer Service
Recruitment and Application Schedule for FY16-FY17.
- April 1-7, YAC Co-Chairs and Staff Liaisons finalize General YAC Pillar Position Description
- April 8, Application form goes live. Applications are submitted to YAC Co-Chairs and Staff Liaisons. Co-Chairs will send an informational/confirmation email to each applicant and an interview will be arranged with the YAC Co-Chairs.
- May 22, Application form closes.
May 23- June 6, Interviews. The YAC Co-Chairs will meet individually with top applicants.
- June 7-16, Final selections. The YAC Co-Chairs will determine final selections.
- June 17, Notification. Selections and non-selections will be notified by phone.
- July 15, YAC New Member Orientation
- August Date TBD, YAC FY16 Quarter I Meeting

Please help us get to know you better by telling us a little bit about yourself by filling out the YAC Application Form FY16 as completely as possible. Applications are due Friday, May 15, 2015.
Applications will be reviewed begnning May 15 and in-person interviews with final candidates will take place May 16-June 1. New members for the FY16-FY17 term will be announced by June 10 to be in place for the start of the fiscal year on July 1.
