What is Student Preparation?

The purpose of Student Preparation is to work with the CSB/SJU community to enhance the curricular and co-curricular experience for current students, focusing on bringing the perspectives and non-financial resources of those outside of CSB/SJU to bear on the current student experience, and to prepare students for a lifelong relationship with the college.

• Become friends with a CSB/SJU international student through the International Friends Program, in which you and an international student meet throughout the year, as frequently as the two of you wish and for activities of your choice.  If you are interested or would like further information, please visit the International Friends website or call the ISPO at (320) 363-5294.
  
  
• Mentor, advise and speak with entrepreneurial students through the Donald McNeely Center for Entrepreneurship at CSB/SJU.  The Center is a resource broker and partner for students, faculty, alumni and community members who seek entrepreneurial solutions to today’s issues. Volunteer activities include mentoring CSB/SJU students, serving as guest speakers, advising student clubs and sharing overall business expertise.  If you are interested in these volunteer opportunities, please visit the Center's volunteer opportunities website, or call the Center at (320) 363-2373.
  
  
• Volunteer with CSB/SJU Career Services.  Career Services assists students and alumnae/i in translating their liberal arts education into future opportunities for work, graduate school, and volunteering, as well as acquiring skills necessary to make life-long career decisions. If you are interested in helping Career Services by participating in informational career panels, or if your company has internship or employment opportunities available, please contact Career Services at (320) 363-3236 or (320) 363-5707.
