Tim Scott `80 was featured in the Wisconsin Lawyer magazine for his inspiring and popular presentations to middle and high schools around Minnesota and Wisconsin. Scott is a lawyer focusing on bankruptcy and municipal law in his practice at Bakke Norman S.C., New Richmond. But from mid-November to mid-May each year, Scott presents two talks a week, on average, to school audiences dealing with the holocaust and its relevance today. Scott has been doing these presentations for about 17 years and has found that he strikes a chord in his young audiences. Schools are not Scott’s only venue. He's also spoken to professional organizations, church groups, teacher in-service trainings, social workers, college students, and prison inmates. According to Scott; “This effort has become a lifetime passion of mine. Without question my years at St. John's played an important role in developing within me a ‘restless’ conscience which compels me to engage in a cause such as this one.”
