Wilderness Medicine Classes

REGISTRATION OPEN

This year at St. John's the Wilderness Medicine Institute of NOLS will offer two courses in May. The courses will both result in certifications that will help to make you competitive for summer jobs and other opportunities. Many employers either require some sort of wilderness medicine certification or strongly encourage it, especially for summer jobs.

Offered this year are a Wilderness First Aid Class (WFA) and Wilderness First Responder Course (WFR). WFA is a 20 hour course, the basic certification offered by WMI. WFR is a more advanced course, 80 hours, and the standard of the outdoors industry.
