The SJU Challenge Course consists of twelve tasks that participating groups accomplish together. The course emphasizes the need for cooperation, communications and teamwork. It provides an opportunity for individuals to examine their leadership styles and roles within a group.
Outdoor Leadership Center [OLC]
The Outdoor Leadership Center provides experiential learning for its customers through outdoor programming and the rental of outdoor equipment. We introduce our clients to new areas of interest in the outdoors. The Outdoor Leadership Center is able to provide alternative leadership opportunities and encourage socially responsible life skills.
The Peer Resource Program offers a number of off-campus trips every year that promote risk-taking, awareness, self-growth, trust, wellness, and creativity.
An optional pre-orientation outdoor experience for incoming first-year students.
A certification program taught by the Wilderness Medicine Institute of NOLS, on the St. John's University Campus.
