Summer in Minnesota - a time for enjoying the outdoors and making the annual trek to summer camp. It's also a great time to explore the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University and share it with the next generation of Bennies and Johnnies. From an admission perspective, helping prospective students visit Saint Ben's and Saint John's is the most impactful way our alums can be engaged in the recruitment process.
While you're welcome back to campus throughout the year, Friday, August 8 is a day dedicated to you, our alums. Your high school aged children, neighbors, nieces, nephews, etc. are all invited to spend the day with us! Your visit will include an informal admission and financial aid program, tour of our campuses, a cookout complete with s'mores and your choice of Bennie or Johnnie bread. The program will begin at 9:30 a.m. and conclude at 2 p.m. When the program is over, stick around for optional, outdoor activities.
You and your family can use our canoes, paddles, and life jackets. Bring your own bikes, fishing gear, swimsuit, and hiking shoes.
The programs will take place rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, program events will be moved indoors.
CSB/SJU don't really have summer camp on a raft, but our campuses are set amid 3,500 acres of woods and lakes. See more scenes from the raft.
The program begins at the Great Hall at Saint John's University. A map and directions will be sent to you via email when you complete the registration form.
