My CSB/SJU experience: I was really active on campus. I played soccer for the Johnnies, was a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), took part in all and any intramurals, went to as many CSB/SJU sports events as possible, was a member of the inaugural SJU Australian rules football team, and studied abroad in Australia. Yep, I like sports. I also volunteered when possible... taking part in campus clean-ups, Toys for Tots, the giving tree, and used donated toys to play with aboriginal children in Western Australia.

Playing Sports: Definitely one of the best decisions I made during college. I was a four year student-athlete, captaining the soccer team to the 2005 MIAC championship, and finishing with academic all-conference and all-region honors. More importantly the connections I made through sports will last a lifetime, and some of my best friends today are guys I met during the first day of training camp my freshman year.

Study Abroad: Studying abroad has been one of the most impactful experiences in my life to date. My favorite memories include surfing in the Indian Ocean, spear-fishing with an aboriginal community, and an alternative fall break trip to Thailand.

Favorites: I am generally obsessed with any and all sporting events, but soccer is my first love. I am a soccer coach at SJU, but have also been lucky enough to coach a broad range of athletes... everyone from U7 junior academy players to USA national players of the year. I can't get enough of the sport and when I'm not coaching soccer I'm playing or watching it. Any Premier League fans out there? I'm a huge movie fan! Some of my favorites... the Usual Suspects, Lock Stock, Zoolander, Anchorman, Super Troopers and of course the Batman trilogy. Let me know if I should add anything to my must watch list. Also, anything with Denzel Washington, Natalie Portman, Kevin Spacey, Brad Pitt, Mark Wahlberg, or Gary Oldman is generally awesome in my book. I absolutely love traveling. I've been incredibly lucky to study, play sports, or work on five continents... all thanks to my experiences at CSB/SJU. I think that my favorite place in the world might be North Wales. It's a beautiful part of Britain, and perfect for anyone who likes hiking up mountains or walking beaches.
