COLLEGE ACTIVITIES: I was involved in our BSA (Black Student Association), the Bennie-Johnnie Optimist Club, and a student volunteer for Hands Across the World. In Hands Across the World I assisted Somalian parents with language, reading, writing and math. I have a strong passion for building relationships and communicating effectively to create positive change. I also participated in two varsity sports my four years at Saint John’s University – football and baseball. I was a pitcher in baseball and played Defensive Back/Linebacker in football where I was the team captain my senior year.
FUN FACTS: I was the first member of my family to graduate from college. It was a tremendous accomplishment for me and my family. I played in the GFL (German Football League) in Bielefeld, Germany for four months as a professional football player in 2016. I am a very outgoing person who loves to play sports, chess, bowling, tennis and ping pong. I have a highly competitive personality that enjoys the outdoors and creating relationships that last a life time.
