More about Emily:

"I love CSB/SJU for so many reasons. One of those reasons is all of the opportunities to get involved on campus. I have played intramural volleyball (court and sand) and I am a member of JEC. I am a TA for the psychology department, I'm a tour guide and the executive assistant for the St. Ben's Senate. I also studied abroad on the Greco-Roman program in fall 2016. My study abroad experience was life-changing and I wish I could do it all over again.

Some of Emily's CSB/SJU Favorites: Events: JEC events, fall and spring concerts; Meal: Burritos at McGlynn's; Traditions: Johnnie football, Family Weekend, Little Sibs Weekend; Spot on campus: Clemens Perk."

"I have been involved in many clubs and activities at CSB/SJU. I'm in Alpha Kappa Sigma Service Sorority, Joint Events Council, Intramural Sand Volleyball, and Entrepreneur Scholars. I also studied and interned abroad this last fall(2016) in Athens, Greece! By being involved I have met amazing people and had once in a lifetime opportunities.

My favorite CSB/SJU event is Pines, an all day music festival. My favorite meal is when they have a Quesadilla Bar at Gorecki - it's AMAZING! My favorite tradition is Tommie/ Johnnie Football game because this rivalry pushes both teams to perform their best. It is a great tradition that binds our community together. My favorite professor at CSB/SJU is Betsy Johnson-Miller. She really takes the time to get to know her students and pushes them to do better."

More about Jamie:

"During my time at CSB/SJU, I have done some pretty awesome things! I have been on the public relations board of the Joint Events Council, spent two rewarding years on the Saint Ben's Senate, and spent a semester traveling the world through our study abroad program. I discovered my love for politics and public relations, and I met my soulmate best friends. Being a Bennie really is all that it is cracked up to be!

My favorite CSB/SJU tradition is the Tommie/Johnnie rivalry between all of our sports teams. There is just something about the butterflies you get the morning of a Tommie Johnnie football game. My favorite spot on campus is the dock just past the Sacred Heart Chapel, there is nothing better than taking a run out to the chapel and sitting with your feet in the water on the dock. Also, I am a sucker for a McGlynns sandwich, and Gorecki nacho bar."

I got paired up with an upper-classman mentor in First Year Forward, and I go to her with any questions about campus life. She is currently studying abroad in South Africa! I volunteered as a face painter during Family Weekend through Art Club. I've never been in choir before, but decided to try something new by joining the All-College Choir. I also work in the costume shop for the theater department. Last semester, I was part of the Figure Skating Club, and I played a part in the fall play, "The Bacchae." Both were great experiences! Through the education program, I was able to volunteer at an elementary school once a week. I gained experience working with kids in a friendly environment!"

Hometown: Shakopee, Minnesota
Call/Text Me: 320-428-2774

More about Alayna:

"I'm in my third year at CSB/SJU and I have been a busy-body since day one. Although I am not studying music on campus, I am very active in the music department. I take piano lessons, voice lessons, and now this semester I'm trying something new... HARP! I also sing in the Chamber Choir directed by Axel. Choir has let me travel to different parts of the country and the world. In May of 2015, I traveled to Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic for a May term with the choir. It was a fantastic experience! I am a huge advocate for getting out there and traveling if you can make it affordable. When I'm not singing or playing an instrument, I have done some theater on campus. I have participated in the opera workshops and then most recently was Penny Pennywise in CSB/SJU's production of Urinetown. If I'm not doing any of those things, I am either working at a school around the area, contacting prospies, or hanging out with friends! "

MEET ALEX OLAWSKY

Call/Text Me: 320-428-3573

More about Alex:

"I LOVE Thanksgiving Dinner at CSB/SJU because everybody really gets in the spirit of the holiday and you are in a beautiful location with wonderful company. Football games are great too. SJU is a fantastic place to watch football games. School spirit is never higher and there is nothing quite standing in those bleachers cheering for the Johnnies.

I sing tenor in Chamber Choir, and I am generally singing outside of choir as well. I am also part of the Nordic Ski Club at CSB/SJU.

I love having so much nature around us at Saint John's, but also having the chance to hop on the bus to Saint Ben's, which has more of a small town feel. When going to CSB/SJU you get the best of both campuses while only paying for one school."

"During my time at CSB/SJU I have participated in Enactus, Intramural Hockey, Intramural Softball, Study Abroad May Term in Italy, and an Internship at Welsh and Colliers International this past summer. The highlight of my college experience thus far has to be the month I spent this last May travelling in Italy but Intramural Championships are a close second! Travelling in Italy was eye opening and an awesome experience to get to immerse yourself in a culture very different from our own. I created so many life long friendships and overall it was an amazing experience."

I'm a swim instructor for the Benco swimming program on campus. I teach kids  between the ages of 2-11 how to enjoy the water! I'm also a part of Benedictine Friends. Every month I get together with a Nun in the Monastery, who coincidentally is my great aunt, to play Bingo, eat yummy Special K bars, or listen to notable speakers."

MEET EMILY BOYLE

Hometown: Lake Elmo, Minnesota
Call/Text Me: 320-428-2774
When: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 5:45-8:45 p.m. (CST)
Email: [email protected]

More about Emily:

"There are so many things I love about these places! My favorite CSB/SJU events are the Johnnie football games every fall, as well as the Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners hosted around each holiday. I look forward to special K bars in the Gorecki dining hall and make your own pizza night at the Reef. While these meals and desserts are always great what I love the most about them is the laughs and conversations had with friends while enjoying them.

My favorite spot on the CSB campus would have to be Clemens Library. I love this spot because I know that no matter when I go there will always be at least one familiar face, and usually someone to take a quick study break with. My favorite spot on the SJU campus would have to be Clemens Stadium. Some of my best memories here at CSB/SJU have been watching the football games with friends and family, and the sense of community in the stadium on game days is truly something special."
