Additional Information:
A student is considered a transfer student if they have completed any college coursework from a post-secondary institution after graduating from high school. Students who have credits earned through Post Secondary Enrollment Option should apply as high school senior applicants.
To be considered for admission, a student must have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 in CORE transferable courses and meet a level of math proficiency consistent with the standards set by CSB and SJU.
A student who has not yet completed 28 semester credits will be evaluated on both high school and college performance.
CSB and SJU offer a secure online application for admission. Below are some directions for creating your account, filling out the application, making corrections to your data and sending for your application.* For more detailed information.

Application – You can apply for admission a number of ways:
Writing Sample – Your personal statement will be an example of your writing ability, and should give us further insight into who you are.
Official High School and College Transcripts – Your high school and college(s) will need to send official transcripts for any courses taken at a high school and college.
Standardized Test Score – CSB and SJU accept either the ACT or SAT. If your score is not on your official transcript, you must have an official score report sent. The ACT school code for CSB and SJU is 2140. The SAT school code for CSB is 6624; SJU is 6104. If you take more than one test we will use your best score.
Official College Transcript – Simply ask your registrar to forward your records to our office.
Transfer Student Evaluation Form – The form can be requested from our office or downloaded and printed here. Please have your present Dean of Students complete it and return it to our office.
December 1 Early Action application date for scholarships. Scholarship decisions will be mailed by December 20 to students who have completed applications by December 1. Students applying after December 1 will be notified of the admission and scholarship decision on a rolling basis beginning January 15. An application is considered complete when we have received the following:

If you are interested in enrolling for the Fall Semester:
By March 15 – Students planning to apply for need-based financial aid (grants, loans and student employment) should mail the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the CSB/SJU Financial Aid Application.
Before March 15 – Applications should be complete. Full consideration cannot be guaranteed after April 1. Students must apply and be accepted for admission to be eligible to apply for scholarships. If you plan to apply for scholarships, we encourage you to apply for admission early.
Transfer applicants must submit this form to the College of Saint Benedict or Saint John’s University before review of their application for admission. The form can be downloaded and printed or a copy can be requested from the Admission Office. Please sign the following release and give the form to your present dean of students for completion.
