Passing the CPA exam is an important step in one's career. Information regarding the exam contents can be found at www.cpa-exam.org.
Each state is responsible for setting rules regarding CPA licensure requirements and eligibility requirements to sit for the CPA exam. Search for the Board of Accountancy or CPA Society in your state via a search engine.
For the state of Minnesota, see the Minnesota Society of CPA web site. In the section titled "Become a CPA", you will find links to CPA exam information and application procedures to sit for the exam. Note that you should allow 8 weeks from the date you send your application for processing.
Using a review course, whether in person, online, or via self-study books, CD's and other materials, can definitely aid in passing the CPA exam. If you become a member of the Minnesota Society of CPA's (cost of $25), you receive a significant discount on a number of CPA review courses.
