Michelle Li-Kuehne

Michelle Li-Kuehne, CPA, is an assistant professor of accounting and finance.  Michelle earned her undergraduate degree in mathematics from Union College.  She also has a Master's of Science degree in biostatistics from the University of Vermont.

Michelle's accounting and finance background includes serving as an auditor at the Boston office of Coopers and Lybrand.  She worked in the area of audit and her clients included a wide variety of companies, ranging from a small biotech firm to multinational commercial banks.  Michelle specialized in banking and non-for-profit.

Joining the faculty of the College of Saint Benedict/Saint John's University in 2007, Michelle has taught Financial, Managerial, Corporate Finance, Intermediate I, Intermediate II, and Government/Not-For-Profit.   In the summer of 2011, Michelle co-piloted the first online courses offered by the Accounting and Finance Department.

Michelle's research focuses on the pedagogical efficacy of integrating technology into the accounting curriculum.  She is a regular presenter at American Accounting Association conferences, and in 2011 Michelle was selected as a finalist for the 2011 Bea Sanders/AICPA Teaching Innovation Award for her Effective Learning Strategies session.  Michelle's other professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Minnesota Council of Accounting Educators.
