David Horn, CPA, is a visiting assistant professor of accounting and finance. David graduated from CSB/SJU majoring in accounting. David also has a Master of Business Taxation from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
David started his accounting career as a tax advisor with Ernst & Young, LLP ("EY"), a Big Four accounting firm. At EY, David specialized in partnership taxation and accounting for income taxes where he audited the income tax provision of some of Minnesota's largest public companies.
After his career in public accounting, David took a position as the manager of income taxes with Proto Labs, Inc. based in Maple Plain, MN. In this role, David's main responsibilities included preparing the quarterly and annual income tax provision, preparing the company's income tax filings, and advising management on the income tax impact of various business decisions.
David lives in the Twins Cities and enjoys traveling, golfing, and backpacking in the great outdoors. He is excited to be back at his alma mater working with such a great community and student body.
David teaches Principals I, Principals II, Intermediate I and Income Tax.
