Law schools look for students who have learned to think analytically and clearly and can effectively articulate their ideas in written and oral form. These skills can be developed in any number of majors that engage a student's interest.
Students may wish to explore their interest in law by enrolling in law-related courses, shadowing one or more of the many CSB/SJU alums in the legal field, and participating in a legal internship. Interested pre-law students are encouraged to meet with a pre-law advisor to discuss educational and career plans.
The Pre-Law Society provides opportunities for students to learn about the legal field through speakers and information sessions as well as to participate in a competitive inter-collegiate mock trial program.
