Representatives from the four Minnesota law schools (Hamline, University of Minnesota, University of St. Thomas, William Mitchell) will discuss the law school application process (LSAT, law school application, personal essay, etc.) with an opportunity for students to ask questions and learn more about these schools’ programs.

This panel of alums will discuss the graduate school process (including researching graduate programs, graduate exam prep, interviews, etc.) from a variety of academic perspectives.
This session will simulate the LSAT testing conditions used at test centers. One of the Pre-Law Advisors will administer this test to give students an opportunity to “experience” the LSAT. You will obtain the answer key and be able to compute your test score. This is a great way to learn about the test and how you might do!

How to Register: You can register for the Practice LSAT at Career Services – CSB Center (Academic Services Building) or Career Services – SJU Center (Mary Hall 25). Payment can be by cash or check. Limit: 30 students – first come-first serve!
Deadline to register: Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009.

This session will discuss tips and strategies to create an effective personal essay for your law school application.
October 14, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. , U of MN – Coffman Union
This fair offers the opportunity to talk to reps from over 40+ law schools as well as to attend seminars on topics related to graduate school preparation.
Alum panel members will disucss their background and involvement with careers in law. The session concludes with the opportunity to talk informally with the panel.
