Welcome to the Office of Academic Review and Curricular Advancement (OARCA) Course Survey page. The College of Saint Benedict and St. John’s University administers course surveys using the IASystems which is a service of the University of Washington. By using the IASystem we are able to improve educational practice through assessment of teaching and learning and the evaluation of educational programs and services.
Spring 2016 Course Surveys Open Periods
AB Mods -- Feb 23-29
End Semester-- April 15-29
The following resources will further assist you with the online system:
Forms: The IASystems provides several standards of evaluations forms. The sample forms are deigned for several different types of lectures and discussions.
Adding Questions: The IASystem course evaluation is available online as several standard forms, but there is the opportunity for instructors to add additional questions to the forms.
Reserving Computers on Campus: Where computers are located for survey use and how to reserve them
*Faculty please keep in mind that some areas on campus are not equipped to deal with excessive Wi-Fi activity. If your classroom is located in one of these weak spots, tell your students to disconnect from the Wi-Fi after they have completed their survey so that other students will be able to connect. You can also prevent Wi-Fi complications by coordinating with other faculty members completing course surveys at the same time.
