MISSION
The Latino/Latin American Studies Program provides students the necessary curricular and experiential opportunities to hone writing, critical thinking, and discussion skills so that they can express their own interpretation of Latinos’ and Latin Americans’ role in the world, reflect on their own values and traditions, immerse themselves in multiculturalism, and prepare for global leadership.
STUDENT LEARNING GOALS
Graduates of the Latino/Latin American Studies Program will:
- Demonstrate a multidisciplinary understanding of the histories and cultures of the peoples of the Americas.
- Acquire the skills necessary to reflect on the students’ own values and traditions in relation to Latino and Latin American peoples so that students may interact respectfully in a multicultural world.
