November 1, 2013
To the College of Saint Benedict Community:
On October 22, 2013, Dr. MaryAnn Baenninger announced her plans to step down from the presidency on June 30, 2014 - the close of the 2013-2014 academic year.
The CSB Board of Trustees deeply appreciates President Baenninger's leadership and accomplishments and we wish her well and much success in her future endeavors.
In this, the college's centennial year, we find the college strong, healthy and well positioned as we prepare and plan for the next century. Part of that preparation will be selecting a new president.
To assist the Board of Trustees in its selection of a new president, the Board has hired a search consulting firm, Academic Search, and has formed a Presidential Search Committee.
Information about the search consultants, the search committee, and the search timeline as well as periodic updates on the search process will be posted to this website. I encourage you to access this site periodically to stay abreast of our progress.
I also encourage you to participate actively in the search when invited. The presidential search consultants will be on campus November 21 and 22, 2013 to conduct interviews with a variety of individuals and groups from the community. In addition, an Open Forum with the presidential search consultants will be held on November 22, from noon - 12:45 p.m. in Gorecki 204AB. At this open forum, you will have an opportunity to learn and ask questions about the search process, and to share your views about the leadership of the college. The information gathered from these interviews and at the forum will be used in the development of a presidential profile that will be shared with all constituents and serious prospects for the presidency. All faculty, students, and staff are invited to attend this open forum.
As we proceed with this very important work on behalf of the College and its students, I wish to thank you for your interest and support.
