24 HR PLAY FESTIVAL - Saturday, September 1 at 9 pm
Needed: Writers, Directors, Designers, and Actors
A Hyper-compression of the theatrical process
The 24-hour Play Festival is an event produced by the CSB/SJU Theater Department on Friday, August 31 through Saturday, September 1, 2012. Festival participants write, rehearse and perform plays in literally 24 hours.
Writers collaborate in teams of two on an 8-minute play. The catch is that the writers have eight hours-and only eight hours-to finish their script. They begin at 11 PM Friday night. At 8 AM on Saturday morning, the directors, designers, and actors frantically begin rehearsing the various scripts, for the show goes on at 9 PM no matter what! From page to stage, the entire process takes 24 hours. Hence the name.

Auditions - Male and Female Actors Needed to Audition for 12 Angry Men
Open auditions
• Monday, September 3, 6:30-9:30 pm & Tuesday, September 4, 6:30-9:30 pm
Callback audition is on Wednesday, September 5, 6:30-9:30 pm
Where are the auditions? Colman Theater, Benedicta Arts Center, CSB campus
What will auditions require? Come to the Colman Theater and read aloud from the script. You'll have a chance to practice before you read for the director. The director may ask you to try reading in different ways. You can read more than once.
Then what? After reading during the open audition, you may be called back to read again on Wednesday September 5, 6:30-9:30 pm
