Sociology

Sociology is a broad social science focused on
human behavior|relationships|cultural institutions.

In Sociology, we study groups; the variety of ways people behave in groups and how an individual’s attitude and actions are influenced by them. This study of human behavior provides a wide range of personal and marketable skills like critical thinking, statistical analysis and current research.

The personal mentoring and experiential learning opportunities offered at CSB+SJU complement our sociology curriculum well! Sociology graduates are prepared to work in a wide variety of careers as well as entering graduate school. Recent graduates are working in education, sales, mental health, criminal justice and more.
